A couple of years ago, I launched the University Cloud Challenge for Microsoft. Students across the UK were encouraged to sign up for courses in the most in-demand technologies of today - gaining professional certifications in Cloud; Data; AI; Security and Power Platform etc, over and above their academic programmes. Points were awarded for registration, completing the study programme and then for passing the exams. This year there was lively competition with the top three universities vying for the top spot and the leading position shifting weekly. But, on 28th June, Gaurav Malik and the students of the University of East London scooped the trophy for this year’s University Cloud Challenge from Microsoft. It’s wonderful to see that students from 262 universities and colleges participated this year and Gemma Robson and Andrew Bettany, who worked with me on the programme, deserve a great shout out and thanks from us all. Especially, though, congratulations to those who have been crowned champions, from the University of East London 😊
If you are a student interested in boosting your CV with these certifications – go to Microsoft’s Student Hub to find out more, and sign up for free materials and exam vouchers.
